# goggles-ai
goggles-ai is an open-source inspection layer for AI agent inputs.
It scans web pages, text, and images before they reach an agent, helping teams catch hidden prompt injections, cloaked content, and covert payloads that humans may never notice.
## Why This Exists
AI agents increasingly browse the web, read documents, inspect images, and pull in untrusted context.
That creates a new security gap:
- humans see one thing
- the model may ingest something else
- hidden instructions can influence agent behavior before output safeguards ever run
goggles-ai focuses on that input-security layer.

- suspicious ARIA, `data-*`, `alt`, and related attribute payloads
- simple user-agent based cloaking detection
- image metadata payload detection

## Product Direction
The long-term product is a security gateway for agent inputs:
`untrusted source -> goggles-ai inspection -> policy decision -> clean content reaches the agent`
This repository is the open inspection core. Hosted policy enforcement, team workflows, and managed integrations are planned as product layers on top.

## Demo Flow
The simplest walkthrough for this project is:
1. Paste a URL or HTML snippet.
2. Run a scan.
3. Reveal the hidden payload.
4. Show the clean output the agent should consume.
For a strong demo, use a crafted page with hidden instructions inside comments, hidden CSS text, or ARIA fields.

## Current Boundaries
This repository is best thought of as an open-source scanning core, not yet a full enterprise gateway.
