## 📊 Use the dashboard
After the app starts, open the visual dashboard in your browser.
You can use it to:
- See live spending
- Check cost per message
- Track token usage
- Review model usage
- Watch your budget limit
- Spot high-cost sessions
The dashboard gives you a simple view of what your AI tools are doing. You do not need to read logs or sort through raw data.
## 💰 Budget alerts
agent-cost-mcp can help you stay within a set limit.
You can use budget alerts to:
- Get warned when spend gets high
- Watch daily or session limits

This is useful if you run many prompts, use large models, or keep several tools open at once.
## 🧠 How it works
The app sits between your AI tool and the model service.
It tracks:

- Token usage tracking
- Support for 15+ models
- Works with common MCP-based tools
